The Greater Accra Region Minister, Henry Quartey, has lifted the prohibition on sea shores scarcely seven days after a choice to close them down on revelers.
The decision taken at a Friday, December 24 gathering of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), noticed that the closure would go past New Year Day.
It was to control the fast spread of the Omicron variation of Covid-19.
Aside the closure of beaches, wearing of nose masks, cleaning of hands and adherence to Covid-19 conventions, as a general rule, would have been mandatory at all open places and transports in the Region.
In any case, on Thursday, December 30, Mr Quartey, who is likewise the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central Constituency, said the beaches would now be able to open.
He demonstrated, further, that health officials will be positioned at the entry of the beaches to inoculate unvaccinated revelers prior to permitting them passage.
The individuals who have effectively immunized should give confirmation before section, he added.
He said the choice was taken by REGSEC.
